Chevy Volt Commercial Focuses On Silence

As the Chevrolet Volt edges closer to reality, advertisements in select markets are teasing the plug-in hybrid’s anticipated launch. According to GM-Volt.com, this 30-second TV spot is airing in Texas and New York. The ad shows a winding road; you can hear the muffled noises of an electric motor, some tire noise and lots and lots of wind noise. We think the ad may not catch the attention of viewers, especially for those who aren’t watching the TV during commercial breaks. Then again, maybe the eerie silence will grab the attention of the buying public, which is exactly what Chevy intends.
